Back up and restore Tricentis Authentication Service

Tricentis recommends that you back up Tricentis Authentication Service before you upgrade Tricentis Tosca Server. You can also use your backup if you migrate Tosca Server to a new machine, or if you run into issues with your data.

To create and restore a backup, follow the steps below:

1. Back up ConfigurationStore.db, OperationalStore.db, Projects.db, and UserStore.db. If you use an SQLite database, these files are by default located at %PROGRAMDATA%\TRICENTIS\IdentityManagement.

   If you use a MSSQL or PostgresSQL database, use the corresponding database location.

2. Restore the data from the previous step.

   To do so, move the backup files ConfigurationStore.db, OperationalStore.db, Projects.db, and UserStore.db to their default location. If you use an SQLite database, the default location is %PROGRAMDATA%\TRICENTIS\IdentityManagement.

   If you use a MSSQL or PostgresSQL database, use the corresponding database location.
