The Pre-Screening: File Wizard

The Pre-Screening: File Wizard assists you in the early detection of data errors. Use it to verify flat files before loading them into another system.

The source file can be any structured text file with data items arranged in fixed-width columns or organized with separators, such as | or ;.

Run Pre-Screening tests

To perform Pre-Screening: File tests, follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure that your Pre-Screening TestCase templates are located in the _Tosca DI Templates folder.

    If you want to use a template that you have created manually, make sure to move it to the _Tosca DI Templates folder.

  2. Open the Pre-Screening: File Wizard: Select a DI folder and click the File icon in the dynamic menu Data Integrity.

    Alternatively, you can right-click a DI folder and select Tosca Data Integrity->Pre-Screening: File from the context menu, or press CTRL+W, CTRL+F.

  1. In the Tosca Data Integrity TestSheet properties dialog, click Yes.

  2. If you have performed Step 3 - Template Selection in its entirety, you can now execute your tests.

    If you have not performed Step 3 - Template Selection in its entirety, you must take additional steps. For more information, see chapter "Step 3 - Template Selection".
