Add attachments
Tricentis Tosca allows you to attach files to test objects.
For instance, you can attach files with additional instructions to TestCases, final reports to execution logs, or comments to ExecutionLists.
You can manually attach files to the following test objects:
-
Individual objects such as Modules, TestCases, or Requirements
-
Folders
File storage options
Tricentis Tosca offers the following
-
Embed files directly in Tosca Commander.
Any user with access to the test object can embed files and edit them. Note: embedding files affects workspace performance over time.
-
Create a file reference, either with central storage or without.
Since files aren't stored in Tosca Commander, file references keep your workspace small. For file references with central storage, you can also restrict who is allowed to create and edit file references.
Additionally, Tricentis offers the Tosca Server feature Tricentis File Service. Tricentis File Service stores your files in a database on the Tosca Server machine.
Since files aren't stored in Tosca Commander, attachments don't affect workspace performance. You also don't have to set up a file storage location that is accessible from all work stations, as you would for file references.
