Access and Log in to Tricentis Analytics for qTest Customers

Overview

In this article, we will outline how to access Tricentis Analytics as a qTest user.

Access Tricentis Analytics

In order for a qTest user to access and log in to Tricentis Analytics' qTest Enterprise Analytics Application, you must have a user account created in qTest.

Non-SSO Users with a qTest Account

If you already have a qTest account and are not using SSO to log in to qTest Manager, you can access Tricentis Analytics via this address: https://locahost/tricentisanalytics

If you have simply installed on localhost and qTest is running on localhost 8080 for testing purposes, you can navigate to https://localhost/tricentisanalytics as http://localhost/tricentisanalytics will fail. Once there, you will need to accept the certificate warning and proceed. This will take you to the login page where you will enter in your qTest internal log-in credentials. Afterwards, you will be directed to the Tricentis Analytics hub.

Work-around: Users Currently Logging in to qTest via SSO

If you are currently using SSO to log-in to qTest Manager, you must have a new qTest account with a qTest username and password created first.

Once a new user account is created in qTest Manager, you can access Tricentis Analytics at this address: https://locahost/tricentisanalytics

Log in to Tricentis Analytics

When a user enters in their username and password into the Tricentis analytics log-in form, that information is passed to the qTest Login API for authentication. Therefore, before you log-in to Tricentis Analytics, qTest must be running and you must be able to be authenticated as a qTest user. As a result, you can only log in to Tricentis Analytics via LDAP and internal log-in credentials. Tricentis Analytics does not currently support SSO, so If you have been using SSO to log in to qTest, please see the work-around above.

Logging in to Tricentis Analytics may take up to 30 seconds for a first-time user due to the user being added to the Authority table in the application.
