Get to know your work environment

Your work environment in Tricentis RPA Orchestrator is the Tricentis RPA Cockpit. It's a web application where you run your Bots and monitor their results.

You can also steer RPA Orchestrator via API. For more information, see the Developer Guide section.

Open RPA Cockpit

Once you have registered yourself as a user and been assigned to a user group, you can access RPA Cockpit.

Contact your local administrator to get the URL. The URL depends on the specifications that the administrator set during the installation of RPA Orchestrator.

If you have RPA Studio installed, you can also open RPA Cockpit directly from RPA Studio (see the RPA Studio documentation).

Navigate RPA Cockpit

Local administrators determine who gets to view and handle which Bot (see the Admin section of the manual).

By default, RPA Cockpit opens on the Bots view, which shows a list of all Bots that you have been assigned to.

From here, you can switch to different views:

  • Click on a Bot tile to go to this Bot's Details page.

  • Click on Agents in the menu bar on the left to view a list of all your Agents.

  • Click on User Management to open the user management tab. In the user management tab, standard users can change their password. Admin users can create users and user groups, and assign users to groups (see the Admin section of the manual).

To sign out of RPA Cockpit, click on the log-out button in the top right corner of the screen.

Views for Admin users

Admin users have an additional menu entry on the left side of the screen: Settings.

Click on Settings to access the Publish permissions view, where you specify which users have the necessary publish rights to publish Bots from RPA Studio to RPA Orchestrator.
