Basics

AutoLoader is an integral part of the Tricentis TDM Studio installation. It is a standard Windows application and it has the same system requirements as Tricentis TDM Studio. The AutoLoader program file (ToscaTDM.AutoLoader.exe) and the files it requires to run are saved in the redistributables subfolder of the Tricentis TDM Studio installation folder. You can copy this folder, independent from a Tricentis TDM Studio installation, onto any Windows workstation and run AutoLoader from there. The system requirements are the same as Tricentis TDM Studio (see chapter "Install Tricentis TDM Studio").

To simplify this process, you can copy AutoLoader and its associated files directly from the AL Project Provider to the AL project directory. Simply check the option Copy AutoLoader executable files to output directory to do this. In order to execute the AL project on a different computer, the user then simply copies the AL project directory to that computer and runs AutoLoader there.

AutoLoader is designed to run the data generation process as defined in the Tricentis TDM Studio tasks of a project. It does not allow you to modify any of the task settings. When you run AutoLoader, it always executes all of the tasks in the AL project that were defined in the AL Project Provider. These tasks are also documented in the information file of the respective AL project.

AutoLoader can only execute AL projects. These have the file extension .ttsal. An AL project is a secure package that was created with the AL Project Provider and that contains a Tricentis TDM Studio project. If you manipulate the file after it has been created, it will become unusable. AutoLoader checks the integrity of each AL project file before executing the project.
