Recording Mode

Recording Mode is the default. When you start recording, you automatically start in Recording Mode.

Use it to record controls that you want the test to steer.

For example, if you want the test to click on a button or enter text into a text box, record it in Recording Mode.

Verification Mode

Use Verification Mode for controls you want the test to verify.

For example, if you want the test to check the label on a button or the content of a form, record it in Verification Mode.

Create Image-Based Control Mode

Use Create Image-Based Control Mode to create an image-based control. Essentially, this is a screenshot of a control. The system uses this screenshot to identify and steer screen objects.
