Attachments

You can add attachments to objects, such as Test Cases or Test Steps, throughout the test planning, design, and execution process. Attachments can be useful for providing extra detail about or evidence of test steps and results, such as screenshots of UI defects or spreadsheets of report records.

Following are the different methods you can use for attaching files to objects throughout qTest Manager. Attachments can be viewed on the Attachments tab on an object screen or wherever attachments were added.

Add an attachment to a...	Procedure
Build	Add an attachment to a Build on the Build screen.
Defect	Add an attachment to a Defect when you add a new Defect to a Test Step or automatically upload attachments to Test Logs and Test Step Logs for linked Defects in Jira.
Release	Add an attachment to a Release on the Test Plan tab.
Requirement	Add an attachment to a Requirement on the Requirement screen.
Test Case	Add an attachment to a Test Case on the Execute Steps tab on the TestPad, on the Attachments tab on the TestPad, or on the Attachments tab on the Test Case screen.
Test Log	Add an attachment to a Test Log on the Execute Steps tab on the TestPad.
Test Step	Add an attachment to a Test Step on the Test Case screen.
