Use the message section

In the Tricentis Tosca API Scan message section, you can do the following:

• specify type and destination of the messages you want to send

• select a connection or specify an HTTP method and endpoint

• check and edit message details

• configure authentication

• add attachments

• configure advanced settings

The following options are available:

Option	Description
Connection	Select an API connection from the API Connection Manager.
Method	Select an HTTP Method for the request message.
Endpoint	API base URL
Resource	Resource identifier for the specified endpoint
Payload tab	Display and edit the message payload.
Params tab	Display and edit parameters.
Attachments tab	Display and edit attachments.
Advanced tab	Configure advanced settings, e.g. select a security protocol and disable automatic HTTP redirects.
Headers	Display the HTTP header list and edit message headers. The Headers section shows either the request or the response message headers, depending on which message you select.
