Scan non-UI applications

Tricentis Tosca enables you to scan non-UI applications and to create TestCases and Modules with Tricentis Tosca API Scan.

With API Scan, you can do the following:

• Scan API definitions, i.e. record the structure and functions of an API

• Edit messages

• Validate messages

• Test for changes made to messages by sending them to the API

• Export messages as TestCases or OSV Scenarios

• Export messages directly to OSV

Tosca also provides a standalone version of the Tricentis Tosca API Scan.

Tricentis Tosca API Scan standalone version

You can launch Tricentis Tosca API Scan outside of Tosca Commander with the API Scan standalone version (see chapter "Open the API Scan standalone version").

The standalone version is part of the Tricentis Tosca standard installation. Its functionality equals the API Scan in Tosca Commander.

To save your messages from the standalone version as TestCases or OSV Scenarios, you can export them as subsets. For more information on exporting TestCases and Scenarios, see chapter "Export messages to Tosca Commander".
