Session details view

The Tricentis Tosca TestPlanning session details view contains all relevant details of a session. You can view the session participants and their assigned tasks. The session details view gives an overview about the progress of the session.

Please note that if you open a workspace from an older version than Tricentis Tosca 11.0, you can create the Tricentis Tosca TestPlanning folder via the context menu of the Project Root element. For further information, please refer to the Tosca Commander Manual - chapter "Get to know the project root element".

Session owner

This section displays the session owner of the session. If you create a new session, you are set automatically as the session owner. You can change the session owner by clicking on the Session Owner and selecting a session participant from the dropdown list.

Session start and end

This section displays the time frame during which the session is valid. For further details on how to define start and end dates for sessions, refer to chapter "Timebox session".

Progress bar

The progress bar reflects the work status of all session tasks and shows what percentage is completed by the session participants.

Session participants

In this section, you can see all session participants who are added to the session. For further details on how to add participants to a session, refer to chapter "Add session participants".

Tasks

In this section, you can see the tasks which are executed by the participants in the session. You can create a task for every activity during the testing process. If you want to see the session affect on the rest repository, you can add a Tricentis Tosca object to the task. For further details on how to add tasks to a session participant, refer to chapter "Manage tasks".

Task duration

The Task Duration of a session is calculated on the basis of all contained tasks within that session. For further details on how to schedule the time you spent on a specific task, refer to chapter "Enter time spent".

Session status

This section displays the status of the session. The session status is derived from the statuses of the added session participants. Possible values are:  Planned, In Progress or Completed.

If the status of all participants in the session is Planned, then the Session Status shows Planned. Otherwise the Session Status shows In Progress. If the status of all participants in the session is Completed, then the Session Status shows Completed.

Attachments

In this section, you can see all files that were attached to the session. For further details on how to add attachments to a session, refer to chapter "Add attachments".

Description

The session description is used to define your objectives for the session. You can include instructions for session participants regarding test goals. For further details on how to write the session description, refer to chapter "Write session description".
