Reassign TestCases

Test managers can reassign a single or multiple TestCases either from one or more testers to another tester within the same interactive test session. A TestCase can be assigned to one tester.

Ensure that you have checked out the required testers if you are working in a multi-user workspace.

The test managers must send an update on the Interactive Test session changes to the affected testers. You can find further details in the tooltip that appears on the Share & Invite tab when you perform changes.

To reassign a single or multiple TestCases to a specific tester, follow the steps below:

1. Open the interactive session where you want to reassign a TestCase to a tester.

2. Select the TestCase you want to reassign, optionally from any of the following sources:

   • From the View assignments, in either Tester View or TestCase View:

Drag and drop the selected single or multiple TestCases onto the name of the tester in the session tree view.

To select multiple TestCases, hold the CTRL or the SHIFT key.

• From the TestCases section:

Drag and drop the selected single or multiple TestCases onto the name of the tester in the session tree view.

Alternatively, you can select TestCase folders to reassign all the contained TestCases and TestSteps.

4. Click Yes in the Reassign TestCase dialog to confirm.

5. Tosca Commander reassigns the TestCases to the tester. You can view the assignments and the execution results in the View assignments.
