Invite new testers

From Tosca Commander, test managers can invite one or more interactive testers to participate in an Interactive Test session. The invited interactive testers don't have to have Tosca Commander installed. Instead, they use the Interactive Testing Agent to test their assigned TestCases.

Prerequisites

Before you can invite testers, you must meet the following requirements:

• You are connected to the Interactive Testing Server.

• You are the test manager of this particular session.

• You have defined the ServerEndpointAddress in the setting Tricentis Services.

• Each person you want to invite is defined as a tester with valid name and email address in the Interactive Testers pane (see chapter " Interactive testers").

• You have checked in the required testers, TestCases and the Interactive Test Sessions.

Invite testers to a session

To invite a tester to a session, follow the steps below:

1. In the Interactive Testers pane, select one or more interactive testers that you want to invite to the respective session.

   To select multiple testers, hold CTRL or SHIFT.

2. Optionally, edit the email invitation text in the Share & Invite tab. Do not delete the [Link] from the invitation text. Tosca cannot send the invitation email if the invitation text doesn't include the session link.

3. Click on Invite selected. To invite all testers on the list, click Invite all.

   Tosca verifies and warns if you have to check in all required session data. Share and invite function automatically uploads session data to the server.

4. Tosca sends an invitation email from your standard email program to the testers.

In case of any changes to an interactive test session, test managers must send an update to inform already invited testers. You can find further details in the tooltip that appears on the Share & Invite tab when you perform changes.
