Use the OSV menu

The OSV menu in Tosca Commander helps you design your Scenarios and manage synchronization with OSV. It is divided into four sections:

Module Attribute

You can use the Module Attribute section of the OSV menu to add, buffer, or edit your OSV Module Attributes.

The following options are available in this section:

Add

Add Module Attributes. The drop-down menu offers the following options:

Buffer

Add and buffer Module Attributes. The drop-down menu offers the following options:

Body

Create a Module Attribute from the whole body of a message.

Validate

Check whether the Module Attributes in your OSV Modules are valid.

Update

Update Module Attributes for your OSV Module if the payload or schema has changed.

Scenarios

Use the Scenarios section of the OSV menu to create OSV Scenarios and to check their validity.

The following options are available in this section:

Deploy

Transfer your Scenario to the OSV Environment to run it.

Import

Import recorded messages from the OSV Environment to Tosca Commander.

Sanity Check

Check whether your Scenario and/or its messages are valid.

Convert to Scenario

Convert an API TestCase into an OSV Scenario.

Message

Use the Message section of the OSV menu to edit the payload and display of the message, generate values, or update OSV Modules.

The following options are available in this section:

Update

Update OSV Modules.

Search in Payload

Search the payload of a message for strings, regular expressions, and wildcards.

Add Files

Add a file to the payload of your message or as an attachment.

Values

Generate XTestStepValues from the default values of the linked Module or from values pasted from your clipboard.

Pretty Print

Format the message in the Technical View of the selected Module.

Word Wrap

Break long text and wrap it into the next line in a selected module.

Manage

Use the Manage section of the OSV menu to start the OSV Monitor, synchronize users, and connect to the OSV Host.

The following options are available in this section:

Start the OSV Monitor.

Sync Users

Synchronize the users in the OSV user groups with the OSV Environment.

Connect to Host

Connect to the OSV Host and OSV Environment.
